Marina Anissina
Born 30 August 1975 Moscow. Ice Skating champion. With her partner Gwendal Peizerat, Won the Ice Dance Gold Medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics under the french flag, and has now retired from competition. Marina is based in Lyon.
Together with Gwendal, Marina has won both European and World Championships in addition to the Olympics.

Born 22 November 1967 Leimen, Germany. Three times Wimbledon winner - the youngest ever in 1985. Led Germany to a Davis Cup victory in 1988, also won the US (1989) and Australian (1991 & 1996) Opens.

Richard Burns
Born Reading 17th Jan 1971, died 25th November 2005. The youngest ever winner of The British Rally Championship in 1993, Richard was one of the world's top rally drivers until diagnosed with a brain tumour in April 2003, having become the first Englishman to win the World Rally Championship in November 2001, ironically his death came on the fourth anniversary of the win.

Erik Clarys
Born October 18, 1968, nickname The Sheriff. Belgian Erik is the top darts player in his homeland, hitting more doubles, treble, bulls and Shanghai's than you could shake a stick at to win - amongst others - the Belgium Open (3 times), the Belgium Gold Cup 4x winner, and the Winmau World Master.
After watching the Embassy World Championships in 1984, Erik's Aunt put a dartboard up in her pub, Erik started to practice, and the rest is history. Erik has appeared at the Embassy since 1997, and lifting the famous World Trophy remains his ambition. |

Paul Collingwood
Paul Collingwood. Born 26 May 1976, Shotley Bridge, County Durham. Top class cricket all rounder who represents his local county Durham. Colly made his England Test debut against Sri Lanka in 2003, and has since become a valuable member of the squad. He received an MBE in 2005 for his contribution to England's Ashes winning performances- and hit a career best 206 in Adelaide in the 2006/2007 Ashes series. |

Brett Davey
Born 10th May 1972, Pontypridd, Wales. Brett first made his name as a soccer player, achieving Welsh league status with Ton Pentre FC. Changing the round ball for the egg-shaped version to play full back for 'Ponty' in 1995, 6' 2" Brett had already made a name for himself before his fantastic performance in the 2002 Principality Cup Final in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
Brett scored all 20 of Pontypridd's points to win the Cup for Ponty and simulataneously deny Llanelli a League and Cup double.
Rejoices in the nickname 'Shaggy'.

Harold 'Red' Grange
1903 - 1991. 'The Galloping Ghost', Red Grange is described as the first Superstar of American Football. He first found fame playing quarterback for the all conquering University of Illinois team, he then turned pro with the Chicago Bears.
Moved into football commentary after retiring and was accepted into the US Sporting Hall of Fame in 1963.

British, European and Commonwealth Titles at Welterweight were all his, the World title eluding him after two epics with Milton McCrory and a fight-stopping cut against the brilliant Don Curry. In 30 pro fights, the world title losses were his only defeats.
