As the final days of Charlie Dimmock's reign as Redhead of The Year slipped by, the question on the lips of the Auburn brigade was "Who will wear the crown for 2001?"

The votes have been counted, the decision has been made.
Step forward Anne Robinson, Red and Proud's Redhead of The Year 2001. Ms. Robinson was the unanimous choice of the Red and Proud judges, winning the title by a landslide. Other Redheads mentioned in dispatches were Paul Scholes, Nicole Kidman, Mick Hucknall and Isobel Laing.
